Developmental and Behavioral Sciences

The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Sciences is one of the largest collaborative behavioral health programs of its kind in the country. Under one umbrella, we address the developmental, psychiatric, psychological, and family therapy needs of children of all ages, providing coordinated care to a population of patients and families with extremely complex problems.

Care in the Hospital Setting

For children who are inpatients and experiencing psychological effects associated with their chronic medical conditions, traumatic injury or experience, we have developed a focused consultation-liaison team of psychologists, psychiatrists, developmental pediatricians, and family therapists to address their unique needs.

Developmental and Behavioral Sciences Staff

Our multidisciplinary program is composed of 52 licensed psychologists, 8 developmental pediatricians, 7 child and adolescent psychiatrists, 8 clinical social workers, and 1 psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who specialize in providing family therapy. In addition, we host two accredited training programs - a Clinical Psychology Internship and a Developmental-Behavioral Fellowship. Within these training programs, we have 3 psychology interns, 3 psychology post-doctoral fellows and 4 developmental-behavioral fellows.

CARE Workshop for Parents

CARE Workshops were developed for parents and caregivers of children ages 2-12 who have experienced stressful or traumatic events in their lives, children with behavior problems, or parents who want to strengthen the relationship with their child.
